OMGMetalGear celebrates death with the 10 Best Metal Gear Demises.

OMGLists contributor, co-worker, and all around good guy Ben Karl has started up another GamePro blog site, OMGMetalGear. To celebrate the site's birth, Ben has concocted a wonderful list about death. It's the Ten Best Metal Gear Deaths!

While the series can sometimes become overwrought with inane plot twists and meaningless meandering codec dialog, the death scenes in the Metal Gear titles are second to none. I can still remember the first major death, when the DARPA chief you snuck into Shadow Moses to save ends up a victim of Foxdie, a disease that can be triggered at any time. Besides the fact that it was the first major death to occur in the game (nevermind that it wasn't actually the chief, but Decoy Octopus, a FOXHOUND member adept at impersonating other people... that's an inane plot twist for you) , later events give the death greater significance. When you find out later that Solid Snaker carries the same disease, the chief's death weighs even heavier. With Metal Gear Solid 4 almost around the corner, you have to wonder when Snake will suffer the same fate?
